presidential race in nc

interesting ny times article about the presidential race in nc. in a nutshell, bc of the incredible growth nc has experienced recently, it is very likely that nc will be blue this time around (!). 

consider how much the banking industry has grown (obviously the economy is a huge concern for many in charlotte = goobama), the increase in immigration, and of course the growth of rtp. the article points out that a lot of the newcomers to nc tend to be more moderate than nc natives, tipping the scales towards blue.

i wish was in nc to witness first-hand all the campaigning that must be going on. i'm also kicking myself for registering in ny, and not voting absentee in nc.
