Yes, I've been using it for about 6 months and I love it (http://twitter.com/sunilnagaraj). It is similar to facebook status updates, but the biggest difference derives from the disconnect between these communities. People are more open and expressive on twitter. There is also a skew toward techies so the 140-character tweets are a great way to stay plugged into the tech community.
thanks for the input sunil! i checked out your twitter page, pretty interesting. didnt realize people have conversations with each other thru it. its amazing to think of all the ways we have to communicate with each other compared to 10 years ago!
